The small town of Tursi has a population of just over 5000. The compact main street,

Via Roma, which stretches from the only traffic light in the town (always on green) to the road to Rabatana at the other end has a variety of shops. Essentials such as a pharmacy, newsagent, and supermarkets for all your basics are well served. There are bars in abundance as well as very good pasticerrias. The covered market, although tiny with only 3 stalls sells amazing fruit and vegetables with all fresh and local produce.
